2nd Saturday for Kids: A free story time and activity each month, guaranteed to keep your kids, from toddler to early elementary, entertained. For specific details of each month’s story, theme, or special guests, check out our event calendar! Every second Saturday at 10:30 a.m. (Usually lasts an hour.)

Off the Page: Our monthly open mic night is bigger than poetry alone. Bring any form of writing that catches your attention--poetry, fiction, nonfiction, off the cuff storytelling. Bring your own work or the work of a writer that inspires you. Each month, we feature a specific author or theme; you’re welcome to speak to the theme or take your own direction. For the specific dates, featured writers, or themes coming up, check out the event calendar. Every third Thursday @7:00 p.m. |

4th Thursday Art & Music Downtown: As part of the larger scheme of downtown Newton events, we will host music or an art show opening in the shop. The event calendar or art page has specific info for artists and/or musicians each month. Every fourth Thursday @6:00 p.m. |
